Home > Annual Event > Spotlight on Keynote Speaker: Jeffrey Fuhrer

We are thrilled to announce that Jeffrey Fuhrer will be joining us as our keynote speaker for the ’24 New England AFP Conference! Jeffrey is a nonresident fellow in Governance Studies at the prestigious Brookings Institution and a Foundation Fellow for the Eastern Bank Foundation. He has recently published a groundbreaking book titled The Myth That Made Us (MIT Press 2023) which delves into the connection between widely held but false narratives about poverty and race and poor outcomes for many in the U.S. economy.

With over three decades of experience in economic research, Jeffrey has been a key figure in shaping US economic policy. He has served as the director of research, executive vice president and senior policy advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and has been an associate economist of the Federal Open Market Committee.

We are grateful to Santander Bank for sponsoring this keynote luncheon and allowing us to bring such an esteemed speaker to our audience. We believe that Jeff’s insights and perspectives will be invaluable to anyone seeking to better understand the challenges facing our economy and how we can work together to address them. Join us for an engaging and informative discussion with one of the leading voices in economic research today.
