RESPONSIBILITIES:

Do you have non-profit accounting experience or would you like to put your accounting skills to work for a mission-based organization? Are you skilled in the areas of general ledger management including reporting, cash management, and account reconciliations? f so, then this may be the position for you. You will also oversee Account Payable including two A/P staff. In addition, this position is responsible for managing the year-end audit process and will assist the CFO in the development and planning of the organization’s fiscal function and recommending practices and procedures for proper financial control, including policy development for all accounting purposes of the Agency. The position will start full-time on-site and then can become a hybrid position based on preferences and department needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for someone skilled in exercising initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve objectives with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field with 3 to 5 years of accounting experience. A CPA designation is a definite plus and prior audit experience is preferred as well as experience in non-profit or healthcare settings. Proficiency in MS Office and Accounting software is required and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required.

After one year, you will know you are successful if

  • The year-end audit is completed smoothly with no major findings
  • You understand the financial complexity of Medicare funding
  • You have developed and implemented processes and procedures that make key accounting functions as efficient as possible

Salary: $65-$75,000
