Cash is King, but data-driven cash forecasting rules

Presented by:

Jon Paquette, VP Solutions, TIS
Nicolas Christiaen, CEO & Co-founder, Cashforce

As the corporate saying goes, “cash is king.” But for modern treasury groups, how valuable is your cash if you don’t know where it’s located or how much you have on hand? Today, the business landscape can shift very quickly, and many organizations are discovering that cash and liquidity DATA is almost just as critical as the cash itself. This is especially true when it comes to forecasting, as without accurate and timely financial data collection, aggregation, and analysis tools, enterprises can easily end up relying on misleading information that negatively impacts both their strategic and operational decisions.

In this session, Jon Paquette, VP Solutions at TIS and Nicolas Christiaen, CEO at Cashforce will discuss the increasing need for optimized cash forecasting operations. They will discuss the importance of taking a data-driven approach to cash flow forecasting, and how a data first mindset leads to a forecast process that generate real actionable insights.. Jon and Nicholas will also explore the challenges of getting to the right data and how data quality underpins improvements in cash forecasting.

The session will conclude with discussing the current impact of macro-economic factors and why now, given supply chain issues because of the pandemic and inflation, organizations need their data to work harder and allow for faster decision making, payment review, cash visibility, and forecasting accuracy.
